What is waffle stitch?

The waffle stitch is a textured stitch, resulting in a three-dimensional and thick fabric with a cute checkered appearance. It can be crocheted both in rows and in the round.

Considerations for yarn choice

If you want to make a storage bag, you can use a less elastic yarn, such as cotton or linen, and use a smaller hook size to make a stiffer fabric.
Using elastic, skin-friendly and soft yarn, along with a larger hook size, will result in a comfortable and fluffy finished product.
