What is hydrosol?
"Hydrosol" is the distilled water of a plant, an aqueous solution obtained by distilling the plant. During distillation, water vapor passes through the plant, carrying away volatile components. This water vapor then condenses back into a liquid state through a condensation system. The liquids naturally separate due to their different polarities: the upper layer is the essential oil, and the lower layer is the hydrosol. Brief process: Water boils to produce steam → carrying plant components → condensation → essential oil and hydrosol
Characteristics of hydrosol
Hydrosol is transparent, clear, or slightly misty liquid with a slightly acidic pH. Their aroma varies depending on the plant species. The majority of their components are water, along with volatile water-soluble substances from the plant and very small amounts of essential oils, etc.

Hydrosols come in a wide variety of names, such as "hydrosol," "floral water," "○○ water," and "○○ extract." The ingredients may be 100% hydrosol, or they may contain other additives or preservatives. You must check the ingredient label to confirm. Choosing organically certified hydrosols reduces concerns about pesticide or environmental toxic residues.
