1. Wrap the yarn around the crochet hook as shown in the picture (the video demonstrates two methods).

2. Hanging wire

3. Following the red arrow, pull the hanging wire of 2 through the coil of 1.

Tighten the knot, and the slip knot start is complete.

Next, attach the wire and pull out the coil.

The first lock pin is now complete.

Repeat the previous step four more times to complete the five-chain stitch demonstration. A loop on the hook does not count as a chain stitch.
